Friday Wine Tasting - July 26, 2024

In case you missed us yesterday, we had a great time sharing two California wines. For our white wine we served Mr. Brightside‘s Gamay Noir Blanc from the Central Coast. While our red was Idlewild’s The Bird Flora and Fauna Red from Mendocino County.

We  paired them with a Goat Cheese and Cherry Tomato Pasta using goat cheese, San Marzano Tomatoes, Gentile’s Gnocchi Pasta.

For a bit of sweetness we also served Sweetened Goat Cheese and Lingonberry Tartlets! This recipe used Goat Cheese, Felix Lingonberry Jam, and Vermont Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup.

We then topped everything off with Blue Cheese & Lingonberry Crackers using Olina’s Wafer Crackers topped with Long and Clawson Blue Stilton Cheese, Felix Lingonberry Jam, and Bacon Bits.

Unfortunately this was a last minute add so I don’t have a picture to share but we had a lot of fun showing you how to combine ingredients with big flavors.
